Course Description:

Review of vibration: Free vibration, Harmonically excited vibration, Fourier analysis.  Instruments: Transducers, FFT analyzer, Sampling and aliasing. Machine vibration problems: Imbalance, Misalignment, Bearings, Gears, Fans, Belts, Looseness, Beating phenomenon, Cavitations,  Vibration measuring techniques and Maintenance management. Optimum location of transducers, Mode shapes, Resonance test
